Responsibilities for this role include patient payment posting, charge entry, insurance denials and answering patient phone calls and other responsibilities as requested.
We are looking for someone who is able to work independently but also as a team.
Essential Job Functions Answer patient inquiries about balances Oversee patient A/R balances Contact patients and collect payments Provide support to front desk regarding insurance questions and patient balances Run daily reports for offices Establish payment plans with patients Must be able to multi-task and prioritize daily tasks
Qualifications:
Must have reliable transportation and exceptional attendance Must possess great communication skills and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions Desire to complete tasks in the most efficient manner Medical billing experience or completion of a Billing & Coding program preferred, but not required Excellent phone etiquette Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to sit for long periods Must be able to prioritize workload independently Education and Experience 1 year or more of medical billing experience 1 year or more in a medical office or similar setting Basic medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements, Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, and abilities may change as needs evolve.
