In this role, you will support the Maritime Sensor Systems (MSS) Sector and will perform financial planning and analysis for the Sector, in order to understand current and projected business conditions and to meet reporting requirements. Specific outputs include the review of divisions' results, the consolidation of MSS results, coordination of periodic reporting of the divisions and otherwise assisting the MSS CFO.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:
Develop the MSS monthly operations review presentation materials. Coordinate reviews of the divisions' operations review submittals.
Plan MSS annual budgets and coordinate allocations to the divisions.
Assist with the development of the Annual Operating Plan and monthly updates to the short term forecast (STF). Compile and analyze the results of the Divisions' performance versus plan, STF and PY understanding significant variances at an MSS level.
Assist in preparation and creation of Hyperion, Excel, and HFM files for forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
Assist in preparation and data gathering for various periodic financial reports and data for Sector and Corporate Management.
Conduct ongoing variance analysis against budget and forecast to understand current performance. Coordinate/develop corrective action plans.
Assist in financial evaluation of acquisition candidates and in due diligence as assigned.
Special projects and Ad Hoc requirements as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
5 years in Finance or Accounting within a DOD manufacturing environment.
Experience with Long Term Foreign Contracts (DOD).
Proficiency with Hyperion and HFM financial software and EXCEL and PowerPoint spreadsheets.
Working knowledge of Hyperion Software.
Must be able to handle confidential planning data and sensitive financial date of employees, consultants and marketing representatives with discretion.
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance.

Typical office environment with agreeable working conditions
Software used: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook E-mail, Hyperion/HFM
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
The use of safety equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas in the company.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
