Teacher, Explorations After School Programs

Position Summary:
Act as lead teacher for a group of students in grades 3-6 in the Explorations After School Program. Plan, lead students in age appropriate classes for students in visual arts. Skills and experience teaching clay sculpture, papermaking, weaving, painting and drawing desired. Supervise students at all times and manage program supplies. Maintain a daily schedule/routine. Attend to student behavior and report any concerns or problem behaviors to the Program Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review the Parent Handbook for important information and school philosophies, procedures, etc. Report any injuries and/or illnesses and follow school guidelines and procedures for treating basic injuries and/or illness. Manage group supplies, equipment and space.
Education/Experience: Associate's Degree in education or related field or prior experience teaching specialty area to elementary aged students. Experience working with children in group settings.
Skills: Ability to form positive and supportive relationships with children and adults. Ability to be flexible and work as a member of a team. Good organizational and interpersonal skills; good computer skills.
Additional Information:
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Schedule - 4 hours per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 - 5:00 and periodic meeting times TBA) January 4, 2018 - May 31, 2018.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
