Student Support Coordinator

Position Summary:
Provide administrative support to the Division of Student Affairs with detailed focus on residence life processes. Coordinate the administrative functions for residential life programs, including high need populations. Maintain and create student affairs web pages websites; provide budget and other office support; maintain confidentiality regarding student and institutional records.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Residence Life Process: Serve as one of the database managers for all occupancy reports for residential houses. Produce routine daily, monthly, and special reports and reconciliation with housing records. Provide backup support for Residence Life with user account maintenance, network security, system documentation, front desk support functions, and participate in planning of future upgrades and technology enhancements. Train and create processes for the Housing Director software initiative. Primary liaison with OneCard Office regarding OneCard access, knowledge of C-cure software program and direct clearance privileges. Update existing processes to fit within the software framework as well as assisting Residence Life with major process creation and maintenance, especially around the creation of forms, reports and room draw processes. Design and assess room draw forms, reports, campus wide instruction guides, and run informational meetings with students. Develop and administer signups, managing relocation and assignments, publication and maintenance of rosters and records, as well as student aid and billing of fees associated for Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Break Housing. Assist with the completion of new initiatives, special projects, and works needed to meet the goals for the department and the Division of Student Affairs.
High Need Populations: Manage assignment processes for specialty populations as identified by Residence Life, including but not limited to students with accommodations through the office of disability services. Responsible for coordination of the special accommodation request process, the incoming and continuing student special housing assignment process, and the coordination with college partners who are involved in accommodating students in residence. Track and report overlap of specialty populations in residence life processes to ensure continuing accommodation needs are met. Assist Residence Life in serving as a resource to specific student populations, serve as a consultant and advocate for their concerns, and respond to students and parents with concerns in a compassionate and timely manner.
Technology and Web Support:: Update and maintain the library of over 400 individual web pages comprising the student affairs division. Create new pages, web forms, and sites as necessary for the function of the department and the betterment of customer service functions by making more information available to students and reducing the amount of paper handled through creative application of the available software on the web and in the college. Act as the point person for implementation of college wide technology changes and policies within the department.
Financial Support and Contract Management: Provide assistance with finance processes as needed, budget reconciliation for houses, house event contracts including crowd management and campus police support.
Administrative Support and Customer Service: Act as part of the administrative assistant team coordinating calendars and meetings, preparing correspondence and emails for deans and directors, maintaining office files, monitoring supply levels, providing support and oversight for student interns working with the department of residence life, and performing all other necessary duties as assigned. Manage JMG storage process and trunk room storage communications.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: Associate's' degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Skills: Demonstrated experience in a diverse environment. Strong Microsoft Office skills, desires growth and development in Dreamweaver and web applications, knowledge of Ellucian Banner software, quick learner capability for C-Cure and The Housing Director processes, knowledge of neurodivergent population needs, and experience in a team oriented environment. Familiar with learning new database software systems.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
